Seasoned and Savory Ground Meat

Seasoned and savory ground meat which serves as a base for a variety of dishes, or can be added to your salad for a complete protein topper.

  • large sauté pan with sturdy spatula


things you need


  • 1 medium yellow onion* ~2 c diced

  • 1/2 head cauliflower* ~2 c riced

  • 1 1/2 c finely diced kale*

  • 4 cloves minced garlic*

  • 2 tbsp olive oil*

  • 2 lbs ground lean white meat* (chicken or turkey)

  • 1 tsp ground rosemary*

  • 1 tsp ground thyme*

  • 1/4 tsp ground sage*

  • S & P to taste

here’s how


  • in a large pan add olive oil and heat to medium

  • add onions and cauliflower with a pinch of salt, stirring for 5 minutes

  • turn down heat to medium low

  • add in the kale, garlic, more salt and pepper, stirring for another 5 minutes until brown bits start to appear

  • add ground meat, rosemary, thyme, and sage

  • cook for another 20 minutes, stirring often, breaking up the meat into crumbles until the meat is thoroughly cooked




helpful notes


  • this is a large batch (i like to make a lot to freeze ahead for use later in the week), feel free to half the recipe

  • if the meat looks to be drying out while cooking, add a little broth or water to moisten

  • consider using for Turkey and Egg White Muffins
