Simple almond butter recipe with a roasted and salty flavor

4 c organic raw almonds
1/4 tsp celtic sea salt
here's how
spread the almonds in the baking pan in a single layer
bake at 375° for 15 minutes, middle rack, stirring twice during the process
after the almonds have cooled completely, toss them in the blender with the salt and blend on medium speed using the plunger to keep pushing the butter down as it blends
helpful notes
the baking process is slow initially, then speeds up. bake until you start to smell the almonds. once you smell the almonds take them out immediately, before they burn.
you can adjust the salt level to taste or omit completely for a “sweeter” butter
the roasty toasty flavor of your almonds can be customized by adjusting the baking time
cooking times vary among different batches of almonds
